Waiting for his damsel...

Waiting for his damsel...

This is one in the series when for the  very first time I laid hands on a DSLR, the Canon EOS 400D! Its been sometime since photography has piqued my interest, and I wanted to take it further. I borrowed the Canon 400D from one of my friend's and spent a whole day 'playing' with it. Quite intimidating in the beginning, but once I got used to it, I really enjoyed the feel of it.

Got this shot laying on my tummy in the muck, to avoid camera shake (I was using a Sigma 70-300mm lens without any shake compensation mechanism). I reckon its a Pondhawk dragonfly, although am not sure! Someone please id it...
