Chasing butterflies

Chasing butterflies

Given the limitation of my cam, had to get really close to get a decent shot of the butterfly. But each time I pussyfooted and approached her, she would flutter away and fly around me in circles. This happened a dozen or more times. Probably she was mocking me at my silly antics with a P&S cam (or was she actually checking me out...?? :P) Finally she decided to have some mercy on me and allowed me to shoot her. (But I wish I got her with her wings open)

In my younger days, I used to catch butterflies to press and dry them between the pages of a book. But I assure you this time around, the butterfly was not harmed! :)

Young tendrils

Young tendrils

Yeah, finally the first of the much awaited long weekends. Had plans to go out on a trip, but sadly the plans went down the drain. So was feeling low and dejected, but getting this shot livened me up...

These are the young tendrils of a pumpkin plant eagerly anticipating something to cling on to.

Saturday morning's are usually days of indolence unless otherwise I have some work or on some trek or have to meet up with someone. This Saturday was no different. With nothing on my hands and nowhere to go, got up late and after a late brunch ventured out with my cam. That's when I caught this guy delivering mails the old fashioned way..!! Aaah... at least someone had the sense not to join the mad rat race and do things at his own sweet pace. :)
